Hi Cesar-my name is Anne-Marie from Sydney, Australia. I was heartbroken to hear of Daddy's passing and wish you all the very best (yes, it takes a while for news to reach our shores). We lost our 4 year old pure Rotty a couple of years ago unexpectedly, so I know the pain you must have felt. We have since adopted two pound puppies - our male Rotty/Ridgeback - Tyson, and our female Rotty/Kelpie - Izzy.

Dear Ceaser and family
I have just found out that your beautiful dog Daddy has passed away. My heart goes out to all that lived and loved that very special dog. He was a very beautiful and gentle dog, and even though I only knew through the tv shows I felt I had a bond with him, and I cried when I saw what had happened. I know how much it hurts to loose a pet, but at least the special dog now has peace and no more sickness.

I know how you must feel Cesar as I lost my German Shepherd companion of 15 years the same week. Like Daddy she was a gentle soul. In 15 years I never heard her growl or saw her show her teeth. I took solace in reading the chapter in your book about loss. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I know how deep the loss cuts.

I always looked forward to seeing your members of the pack...especially daddy.I was always amazed how loyal and obedient and respectful he was of you as his pack leeader. Watch a special dog Daddy was. I think he changed the minds of many many people about pitbulls (me included). Having lost my beautiful blue heeler Kelly after 13 years I can understand the hurt that those who loved Daddy are feeling. My heart goes out to you all - the legacy Daddy leaves behind is HUGE. Cesar, I was devestated to learn of Daddy's passing. I never had the privelege of meeting him, but felt I knew him as well as my own dogs. Every show I waited in anticipation of seeing him, and when I did I used to get such a buzz excitement seeing this dog with such an enormous personality and such unbelievable calmness. My thoughts are with you and your family at such a difficult time, but what a tremendous life to celebrate. All who saw him had their lives enriched by the experience

I'm so very very sorry to hear of Cesars Loss of Daddy. He was a lovely boy and like his owner a fabulous example to others. Its hard to believe Daddy is in a better place then to be with his amazing owner Cesar, but he is. There is not doubt he has left a huge 'paw'print on this earth, but in his place he would have left another loyal companion to carry on his work with Cesar. Take care Cesar and my thoughts are with you and your family.

and cannot believe how sorry i feel for a dogs passing especialy one i have never actualy met. He was a special dog and i know how much cesar will miss him and how upset he must feel but as the old saying goes better to have loved than never to have loved at all. i am sure thats exactly how cesar feels .daddy was a big part of his life.

I also have a pit bull and the only reason i got him was because of daddy i thought if he can be that lovely so can mine... I am so sorry for your loss Ceasar, Daddy will be highly missed RIP DADDY <3
