Women Docs takes a candid look at the world of medicine through the eyes of various top women doctors located throughout the United States. In the series opener we are introduced to four very different women who work at St Vincent's Catholic Medical Centre in New York. The reality of real life is that not all of the patients profiled have happy endings. Even with the top doctors in the country providing care, some situations are still out of their control. Dr. Nikki Kantrowitz experiences this after one of her patients suffers a massive heart. She faces the harsh reality of her job and performs unfortunate routine task of preparing the patients family for the worst.
